So you might have noticed I've finally de-tached myself from the shadow of my brother. Well actually, it was a long time coming, but yes this is
my blog.
So as such, I will leave all the major SWLLC news to the band.
In the meantime, there are a couple of neat things going on which you should really know about.
1. The band has a wiki! Forum member
yeahwellalright has taken it upon herself to start a Wikipedia entry
about the band. For those of you who have been living under a rock since 1998, Wikipedia is really a terrific resource for information these days. It beats random Google searches and is generally more up to date than printed materials you find in a library. Keep in mind if you're editing the entry or any relating entries to
keep the content neutral, as opinionated copy is usually locked up, deleted or otherwise marked as "disputed neutrality"
2.
SkypeOut calls within the U.S. and Canada are now free (until the end of the year). This is kind of old news (okay the beginning of this week), but it's really one of the coolest things
ever to call an actual telephone with your computer for free. I pranked at least three of my good friends with it yesterday with bravo, as getting Skype's mic feature to work with my laptop's audio out was a breeze.
Al Pacino soundboards, here I come.
Not like cell phone minutes are a problem, but this would have been great when I was
studying abroad.
That's enough for now. It looks like it's going to rain here on the one day of the week I chose to wear shorts :D
