Arts and Crafts time...
Dave and I used to play a shit-ton of
Sonic the Hedgehog before the franchise became the pokemon/whorish second cousin it is now. I am speaking of course of the Genesis and Sega CD games that rocked the house, and frankly would be welcome these days in place of some of the $60 crap that comes out all too often (I'm looking at you any video game derived from a movie).
Anyways, I came across this today via
Digg and thought it was super cool, so cool in fact I know somebody out there might want to fire up that color printer, load some 100lb. stock in that badboy, and get your scissors+glustick on. I am speaking of
this (warning: download link) awesome paper model kit from Sega of Japan to celebrate the 15th anniversary of Sonic the Hedgehog. You, yes right that's you, can spend countless hours of your time trying to recreate 16-bit nostalgia while fending off insanity. You can also do the entire thing listening to
awesome techno as well.
