Beta testing...
So I decided somewhere along the line it would be a good idea to do some beta testing for Microsoft. As an owner of a Media Center PC & XBOX 360, I am somehow a perfect candidtate to help MS work out some of the bugs getting Windows Vista (the next generation of Windows) to work with other devices.
Anyways, let me just say that the term BETA gets thrown around a lot these days. You might notice if you're a Gmail user that it's had the "beta" tag for years now despite the fact that it's nearly flawless and has been completely avaliable to the public for well over a year at this point (hardly the things that classify it as a beta). Anyways, my whole point in this is that Windows Vista is
very Beta and mucking around with it on my machine is quite a thrill ride sometimes. I'm hoping that the deep down internals aren't turning my processor into mush and that Bill Gates isn't reading my e-mails (he'd be pretty bored).
Speaking of e-mails, in the spirit of completely divulding all the privacy of my friends, long story short my friend was dating this girl who he broke up with months ago. She now e-mails him on a frequent basis and he forwarded me one of her (lets just say) "crazy" ones, which kind of reminds me of that
great breakup letter that was floating around last year (link has some objectionable language--you've been warned). My favorite snippet from my friend's e-mail though?
"I want someone to do the little things with, to run in the rain and cuddle and watch Stargate with, lol. I know its not ideal right now, I understand that, but I wonder if it ever will be."
I think the real question, is "when will it ever be ideal to run in the rain
OR watch Stargate?
