So it's pretty much 100 degrees in my apartment today. I've got all the windows open and I'm almost positive I'll wake up with like 30 mosquito bites tomorrow. It's totally worth it. I actually sought refuge from the heat today
not in a movie theater (Ummm
Wayans brothers movie or an
Adam Sandler bomb...AWESOME SUMMER MOVIE LINEUP!) but in a Target where they were having a sale on three tubes of lemon-flavored Crest for $5. Sounds odd doesn't it? I think lemons should be left to my cleaning sprays...
So I've got a new gig writing game reviews and interviews for a gaming website. I'll put a link up as soon as my first review goes up. I'm pretty stoked, as this is something I've been wanting to do pretty much my entire writing career. Whether or not it will lead to being an actual paid gig there or somewhere else is the big question. In the meantime, I'm enjoying doing something I love on the side of my regular job, which has quickly turned into something just aweful. We got this "timecard" program installed on Friday, which means despite the fact that I'm on salary means I have to clock in and out at the beginning and end of the day. Mistrust? Definitely. If I wanted a workplace with timecards I'd have an hourly job thanks. Needless to say I've been hitting craigslist daily.
Here are some pictures from my vacation:
